Window Cleaning Tip: Handling Customer Complaints

August 13th, 2007 Posted in Window Cleaning Tips

No matter how hard you try to avoid them, and no matter how good of a window cleaner you are, you will from time to time get some complaints. Don’t worry its not he end of the world, although they will make you feel bad, because after all the customer is complaining about your company and your company is you. Just solve the customers complaint and everything will be ok.

When a complaint comes in, you need to call the customer immediately. Never make a complaining customer wait because it only makes things worse. Go out and fix the mistake the very soame day or as soon as the customer can have you out, even if it means canceling a previously scheduled job. It is better to make a schedule adjustment than to lose a customer.

In General your customers are very forgiving especially if they like you. They understand that mistakes happen and as long as you fix it quicky and at no additional cost to them, you will keep your customer.

The sad fact is that the home service industry is one of the worst sectors of the economy as far as service quality goes. Nobody in the industry doe a good job or backs up their work. You will stand out like a beacon by simply doing good work and having a pleasant personality and standing behind what you do. Take pride in what you do.
